Stake Crypto Deposits: Bitcoin, ETH, Litecoin, USDT & Doge
How crypto deposits actually work on Stake, which coins are worth using, and what to expect with fees, speeds, and limits.
The fastest way to get money onto Stake is crypto. That part's obvious. But which coin you pick actually matters.
Not all deposits land the same way. Speed, fees, and minimum amounts vary enough that choosing the wrong one can slow you down or quietly eat into your balance before you've placed a bet.
Here's how the main options actually compare.
Bitcoin is the default for most people, and it works fine. Confirmations typically take 10 to 30 minutes depending on network congestion. Fees fluctuate, sometimes annoyingly so. If you're depositing a large amount and happy to wait, BTC is solid. If you need funds quickly or you're putting in a smaller sum, the fee percentage can sting.
Ethereum is faster in most conditions, usually confirmed in a few minutes. Gas fees are the variable. During quiet periods they're manageable. During busy periods they're not. Worth checking the current gas price before you send.
Litecoin tends to get overlooked, which is a shame. Transactions confirm quickly, fees are low, and there's no drama. If you hold LTC, it's probably the most predictable of the bunch for regular deposits.
USDT (Tether) is the stablecoin option. You're depositing a dollar-pegged asset, which means no price exposure between the moment you send and the moment it lands. Useful if you're trying to manage your bankroll precisely. It's available on multiple networks on Stake, so check which network you're sending from or you risk funds going missing.
Dogecoin. Yes, it works. Fees are negligible, confirmations are reasonably quick. The main downside is that not everyone holds DOGE, and if you're converting specifically to use it, the extra step probably isn't worth it. If you already have it sitting in a wallet, fine.
One thing worth knowing: Stake doesn't charge deposit fees on their end. What you pay is the network fee from your wallet or exchange, not a platform cut. That distinction matters when you're comparing total cost.
Minimums exist for each currency and they're not huge, but they do vary. Bitcoin minimum is around $20 equivalent at current rates, give or take depending on the market. USDT minimums are lower in absolute terms. Check the cashier page before sending, because sending below the minimum means delays and support tickets you don't want to deal with.
Processing is genuinely fast once confirmed. I've had BTC deposits land within 15 minutes plenty of times. I've also had ETH sit for 45 minutes during a spike. Variance in wait times is real, so don't deposit right before you urgently want to play.

The honest take: for most people, Litecoin or USDT is the practical choice for regular deposits. BTC is fine for big one-off amounts. ETH is fine if the gas is low. DOGE is fine if you're already holding it. None of them are bad, but they're not interchangeable either.
